Metatechnology - the last technology.
Metatechnology - a technology capable of transcending all the rules governing its own existence.Imagine yourself inside a computer simulation. The simulation has predefined rules that cannot be broken by its occupants. For example, one of the rules might be that something that exists inside the simulation cannot materialize itself outside of it. Beyond the simulation there exists an "outside" reality occupied by programmers who designed the simulation. This outside reality is governed by its own set of rules, e.g., laws of physics and logic. It must be, then, that whatever exists within the simulation must obey not only the rules within the simulation itself, but also the rules of reality outside the simulation. Metatechnology is the kind of technology that could not only free itself from the rules of potential simulation, but also transcend the rules governing all the potential outside realms whose rules necessarily bound the simulation. In other words, once the logical dependence of inside vs. outside reality is broken, metatechnology would be independent of any rules including laws of physics and logic. With metatechnology nothing would be impossible.
